Safety Company of the Year
Plastic and paper packaging maker Novolex was named the PlasticsIndustry Association's safety company of the year with two employees, Ivan Marquez and Matt Carter, winning additional personal awards. Novolex and its employees received this prestigious award after they implemented our Mobile Inspection platform, showing their"demonstrated exemplary commitments to the welfare of theircolleagues by driving proactive and preventive safety initiatives at the forefront of their business."
NexGen Leaders Awards
Jennifer Pippin, EHS Manager and Ivan Marquez, Regional EHS Manager, were among the eight corporate EHS&S leaders to receive NexGen Leaders Awards at NAEM's 2019 Excellence Awards ceremony. Martinez oversaw the implementation of the Mobile Inspection platform at all62 Novolex manufacturing facilities, enabling the company to eliminate clipboard inspections, better allocate inspection personnel, and track and verify inspection completion in real-time. As a result, Pippen was able to identify inspectors in need of help and to provide additional training and support. Her team in the Specialty Business Unit subsequently achievedremarkable results, including: 390+ days injury free at all 62 locations, 425+ days since last lost time incident, a 3-Year DART RATE of 0.30, and 100% on both internal proactive projects and internal compliance inspections.
Kokosing Construction Company, INC.
The Verdantix EHS Innovation Awards recognize organizations which have implemented particularly innovative EHS technologies. Kokosing Construction Company took home the award in the construction and building materials category for deploying Mobile Inspections platform, streamlining and automating its 47 safety inspections into a single mobile app. The reports generated by the platform allowed the company to gain new insights from its inspection data and to improve safety across the organization.
